With a primary focus on the meaningful inclusion of 2SLGBTQ+ adults and youth, Aroha Pride’s mental health professionals are committed to providing knowledgeable and inclusive services to people of all backgrounds and histories. Our individual, family, and relationship counselling services are framed within an empowerment, strength-based, and anti-oppressive perspective that considers how intersecting identities impact experiences and perceptions.

Emily Ritenburg
Emily Ritenburg, MSW, RSW (she/they), is a queer, neurodivergent therapist offering virtual mental health services across Saskatchewan. Specializing in gender, sexuality, trauma, and neurodiversity, Emily provides inclusive individual and relationship therapy rooted in anti-oppressive, queer affirming, and sex-positive approaches.

Noni Vatish
Noni Vatish (she/her) is a queer South Asian counsellor from Kitchener, Ontario. She earned her Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Waterloo, Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, and Professional Canadian Art Therapy designation from the Canadian International Institute for Art Therapy (CiiiAT).

Nina Nyalowo
Nina Nyalowo, MSW, RSW (she/her), is a registered social worker and therapist serving Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, and Alberta. Specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, racial identity, and gender diversity, Nina offers anti-oppressive, person-centered care rooted in evidence-based practices and lived experience.

Phoenix Hourie
Phoenix Hourie, BSW, RSW (they/he), is a two-spirit, non-binary, Métis counsellor offering virtual therapy in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. They specialize in gender identity, neurodivergence, trauma, and Indigenous culture, drawing on frameworks like CBT, harm reduction, and somatic therapies.

Judith Kovalski
Judith Kovalski, MA, MSW, RSW (she/they), began her career as a social worker in 1995 and over the past thirty years has worked within the Provincial and Federal systems across Canada. Judith has grown to deeply understand the complexity of interacting with these systems, often feeling like an “an outsider” in these roles.

Jessica Hartog
Jessica Hartog (she/her) is a dedicated and compassionate therapist with a Master of Counselling from City University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Manitoba. Jessica works with youth, young adults, adults, and couples. Practicing on Treaty 1 territory, traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.

Melissa Davies
Melissa Davies (she/her) is a Clinical Counsellor and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a deep passion for supporting individuals and families. She began her counselling journey at Island Community Counselling in Nanaimo B.C., where she trained in play therapy, building a strong foundation for her work with children, youth, adults, and Indigenous communities.

Jane Desplenter Rose
Jane prides herself on providing encouraging support and empowering others to navigate their experiences in the ways that work best for them. At Aroha Pride Counselling, Jane manages administrative operations, client and counsellor support.
