Tye Strachan is a non-binary, trans masculine queer white settler born and raised in Saskatchewan. They earned a Masters of Clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary (2023) where they specialized in trauma-informed practice. As a Registered Social Worker, Tye is skilled at working with people of all ages. Tye practices from a post-modern perspective mainly using tools from Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. All of Tye’s therapeutic interventions are guided by feminist, queer affirming, anti-racist, trauma-informed and harm reduction principles and worldviews.

As a therapist, Tye believes that sometimes life can be challenging and this separates people from their ability to see their own strengths, resilience, and capacity for change. This is where Tye believes collaborative therapeutic conversations can help reconnect a person to their skills, knowledges, and hopes for life. While Tye is thrilled to join you wherever you are at, their particular clinical interests and areas of expertise include navigating complex trauma, grief and loss, gender and sexuality, substance use concerns, anxiety, and depression.

Tye is registered to provide services in Saskatchewan. Their services as a Registered Social Worker are covered by most insurance providers.
