Emily Ritenburg, MSW, RSW (she/they) is a queer and neurodivergent clinical social worker born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She completed a Master of Social Work from the University of Regina, completing her practicum under the supervision of clinical psychologist Dr. Renee Roy. In their practice, Emily works with youth ages 12+ and adults specializing in areas related to gender and sexuality, sex work, complex trauma, substance use, and neurodiversity. She is experienced in addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, and disordered eating. Emily also provides relationship services that are inclusive of monogamous, non-monogamous, polyamorous, kinky, and non-traditional relationship orientations.
Emily’s expertise stems from both lived experience and formal training. As an integrative therapist, Emily’s approaches are grounded in psychodynamics and draw on attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), somatic psychotherapy, and mindfulness-based practices. She incorporates anti-racist, queer affirming, sex positive, and harm reduction perspectives in to her anti-oppressive practice.
Emily is registered to provide social work services in Saskatchewan. Their services as a Registered Social Worker are covered by most insurance providers.
