Noni Vatish (she/her) is a queer South Asian counsellor from Kitchener, Ontario. She earned her Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Waterloo, Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, and Professional Canadian Art Therapy designation from the Canadian International Institute for Art Therapy (CiiiAT). Noni has spent the majority of her career supporting those living with mental health and addictions in harm reduction based environments as well as those who have experienced sexual violence.
Noni utilizes Art Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Strengths-Based Approaches, Harm Reduction, among others in her practice. She believes in the importance of engaging in anti-oppressive practice standards and brings in additional investments in person-centered as well as trauma-informed practices.
Noni works with individuals of all ages and focuses on supporting those living with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, substance use disorders, race-based trauma, stress, trauma, spiritual exploration, and complex trauma.
Noni is currently registered to provide services as a Registered Social Worker in Ontario and Saskatchewan and these services are covered by most insurance plans. Clients across Canada are also welcome to access her therapy services under her title as an Art Therapy Professional.
