Remote Clinic Administrator:

Independent Contractor Position

 

Employment Type: Remote, Independent Contractor (approximately 8–10 hours per week)

Compensation: $240/week flat rate

About Aroha Pride Counselling & Consulting

Aroha Pride Counselling is a queer and trans affirming therapy group practice that collectively works from an anti-racist, decolonial, and anti-oppressive perspective. While most are drawn to our specialization in queer and trans affirming mental health services, our clients represent people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Key Responsibilities:

– Client Interactions: Communicate with clients in a queer-affirming and trauma-informed manner.

– Administrative Email Management: Monitor and respond to emails, utilize established email templates.

– Client Intake and File Management: Manage client intake forms, upload referral documents, and ensure accurate and timely collection of payment and/or insurance billing information, consent forms and other intake tasks.

– Payment Processing: Process credit card payments and insurance payments, monitor client balances. 

– Insurance Claims Management: Process and reconcile direct-billed insurance claims and ensure accuracy of periodic statements.

– Direct Support to Counsellors: Assist counsellors with client communications, scheduling, and sales reports.

– General administrative duties (as needed)

Qualifications:

– High school diploma required; undergraduate degree preferred.

– Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) is essential.

– Experience with JaneApp for scheduling and payment processing is an asset.

– Strong written and oral communication skills in English is essential.

– Basic understanding of confidentiality and private health information management.

– Familiarity with queer and trans culture and mental health issues is essential.

Additional Information:

The Administrator will have the flexibility to set their own schedule while ensuring that responsibilities are completed in a timely and reliable manner. No work is required on federal or Saskatchewan statutory holidays. Contractor must supply their own computer and have access to a reliable internet connection.
